The Ailing Chimney
In an aging property, one chimney stood out with noticeable wear and tear. Large cracks had formed on its surface, possibly due to poor weatherproofing. This begins the story of restoring the chimney to its former state.
Deconstruction
The restoration began with a methodical deconstruction process. Each brick and stone was cautiously removed to preserve the structural integrity of the remaining structure. It was a slow and meticulous procedure.
Guarding Against the Elements
To prevent future damage, we took steps to protect against the elements. Lead, known for its durability, was used in the restoration. Multiple lead courses were installed to create a barrier, stopping water from harming the chimney's structure. This proactive approach reinforced its ability to withstand wear and tear over time.

Finishing
Only one of the four chimneys remained in use. Each chimney was rebuilt. The operational chimney received a simple cap for protection and style. This concluded the restoration journey.
